
The Outdoor Action Climbing Wall is an indoor rock climbing & bouldering facility, 32 feet high and 66 feet across with 13 belay stations. It incorporates both vertical and overhanging sections as well as a roof and three artificial cracks. Climbers of all abilities are welcome. Experienced instructors will be on hand to teach skills and assist in solving particular climbing routes. OA provides all equipment including climbing harness and climbing shoes. The Climbing Wall is open throughout the academic year except during breaks, reading period and final exams. Supervision and coaching are provided by trained OA Climbing Wall Staff.
Climbing is FREE for Princeton University students, faculty and staff.

OA Climbing Wall Open Hours - Spring 2025
Wall Opens Monday, January 27
Princeton students, staff and faculty with an active PUID can climb for FREE. Spouses are also welcome (call the OA office for more info). Individuals without a TigerCard (prox) are not eligible to climb. Check My.Princeton.edu for the most up-to-date weekly schedule.

Learn to Belay Classes - FREE
You must take a Belay Class and pass a separate Belay Test in order to belay at the OA Climbing Wall. Register in advance at My.Princeton.edu--spaces go quickly! In order to climb at the Wall or sign up for a Belay Class, you first need to complete the Climbing Wall Waiver form.
Group Hours
Outdoor Action offers University groups such as RCA groups, student organizations, sports teams, etc. the opportunity to request private time at the Climbing Wall for free with climbing instructors on Thursdays from 8-10pm and Fridays from 3-4:30pm. We hope that this will be another way that different student groups can destress and build community while staying active.

Frequently Asked Questions:
- All equipment (climbing harness and shoes) is provided for free.
- Stadium restrooms are closed from approximately Fall Break through Spring Break.
- When the stadium restrooms are closed, the nearest restrooms are in Jadwin Hall and Jadwin Gym.
- The nearest ADA and gender inclusive restrooms are in Jadwin Hall on the A level near the loading dock and in the Frick Chemistry Lab on the B level.
- The climbing wall is accessible up a flight of stairs. To request ramp access, call 609-258-7699 during climbing wall operating hours. If outside of wall operating hours, contact [email protected] or call 609-258-6230 M-F 9am-5pm 1-2 business days in advance of anticipated use.
