These awards are given annually to seniors in the Outdoor Action Program who have made significant contributions to the program and to the lives of others at Princeton University. Thanks and congratulations to all of them from the staff at Outdoor Action and from the Friends of OA Board.

We start with an overview of how the UTM system works, then you'll learn how to read coordinates from a map, how to plot coordinates onto a map, and we’ll finish with a few good mapping and smartphone resources. 

Knowing to basics of coordinate systems is important for anyone using a map and GPS together.

With a view toward OA's upcoming 50th Anniversary, the Outdoor Action Alumni Advisory Group was convened in December 2016 to reflect on the value of Outdoor Action and discuss how the program can continue to provide leadership development opportunities for students. As part of Mental Health Awareness Month, Outdoor Action and Counseling and Psychological Services (CPS) hosted Dr. Jud Brewer '96 MD PhD for a webinar exploring the physiology of anxiety and how we can 'unlearn' millions of years of evolution to be more mindful and less stressed.
