Students involved in Outdoor Action excel both in academics and in campus activities from varsity sports, to student government, and student organizations. The leadership skills they develop through Outdoor Action serve the larger Princeton campus and beyond as these students go on to be leaders throughout their careers. Here are some of the awards and prizes received by Outdoor Action Leaders.

The Banff Mountain Film Festival returns to Princeton University for its 21st year. Come join us for two fantastic evenings of award winning films on outdoor adventure from around the world. Tickets will be available in early February and the show always sells out, so buy your tickets early.
Leading a group on a multi-day trip either in a base camp setting or a backcountry setting requires extensive training in outdoor camping skills, effective first aid, judgment and decision making, leadership and group facilitation. The final part of OA Leader Training is the Leader Training Trip (LTT), a 6-day trip which pulls together all of the skills you have been learning all semester.
These awards are given annually to seniors in the Outdoor Action Program who have made significant contributions to the program and to the lives of others at Princeton University. Thanks and congratulations to all of them from the staff at Outdoor Action and from the Friends of OA Board.
With a view toward OA's upcoming 50th Anniversary, the Outdoor Action Alumni Advisory Group was convened in December 2016 to reflect on the value of Outdoor Action and discuss how the program can continue to provide leadership development opportunities for students. The Outdoor Action Frosh Trip program is a Princeton University orientation program that gives incoming freshmen the opportunity to start college on a multi-day backpacking trip with their future friends and peers.
